We've all heard the question: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
But as adults, the question evolves.
It becomes: "What is my purpose?"
Finding your "why" - the core motivation that drives you - isn't always easy, but it's the fuel that ignites passion and propels us forward.
Some find their why in grand gestures - fighting for social justice, creating groundbreaking inventions, or leaving a lasting legacy.
But the beauty of finding your why is that it doesn't have to be earth-shattering.
Your why might be the joy of helping others, the satisfaction of mastering a skill, or the simple pleasure of creating something beautiful.
It's the spark that ignites a fire in your belly, the reason you jump out of bed each morning.
So, how do you unearth this elusive "why"? Here are a few tips:
Reflect on what energizes you. What activities make you lose track of time? What questions do you come across on a regular basis, the answers to which are obvious to you and not to other people?
Consider your values. What principles are most important to you? Living a life aligned with your values can be incredibly motivating.
Don't be afraid to experiment. Try new things, explore different paths. Sometimes, your why reveals itself through exploration.
Finding your why is an ongoing journey, not a one-time destination.
Your why might evolve over time, driven by experiences and personal growth.
The key is to keep searching, keep exploring, and remain open to the possibilities.
Remember, a life fueled by purpose is a life filled with passion, resilience, and a sense of deep fulfillment.
So, embark on this journey of self-discovery. Find your why, and watch your life light up.
