The grass is greenest where you water it.
When you’re stuck for content ideas, instead of moaning or doing nothing, why not reframe the narrative and unleash your creativity?
When you’re open to seeing them, ideas are EVERYWHERE …
In the newspaper.
Online.
Hanging out in your local coffee shop.
At the grocery store.
In the laundromat.
At work, school, or college.
In the park.
At the beach.
At the airport or train station.
On the bus.
See?
EVERYWHERE.
Here’s a list of 10 places to find fresh ideas to keep your audience interested, connected, and eager to read more of your stuff.
Know your audience: What do you know about that your audience is interested in? What questions do they have that you know the answers to? Talk to them, ask them, and find out!
Look at what's trending: Staying up-to-date on hot topics in your niche is now easier than it’s ever been. If you set up half a dozen Google Alerts on the main subjects you write about (via those all important content pillars, remember?), you’ll have an almost instant and endless supply of news to share.
Join online communities: See what questions people are asking.
Learn from competitors: See what works for them, but make it your own!
Repurpose old content: Give your existing content a refresh.
Invite guest contributors: Get new voices and ideas on your platform.
Read and learn: Books, articles, research - all spark creativity.
Share your experiences: Your stories can connect with your audience.
Ask your audience: Q&A sessions and surveys give you direct feedback.
Keep creating! There are always new ideas to be found. The key is to deliver value and connect with your audience.
As always, thanks for reading.
